Over the last 2 weeks, we noticed that images on Amazon.com were constantly being resized and cropped but not actually changed. Our system saw these as content changes and notified the account holders that, hey, lots of your product images have changed!

Previously, this wasn’t an issue, since Amazon.com wasn’t constantly resizing their images. But it is now, and all the image resizing starts looking like noise and it might cause you to actual miss an important image change!

To make sure you get the important image changes, we’ve updated InsightLeap to now ignore image resizes / format changes! Now you’ll only be notified when the there is a proper image change (e.g. a new image is added or removed)!

No more content changes when images are resized; only when images are added or removed!
